A contract position is available for a bilingual School Psychologist fluent in Russian, specializing in telehealth services within an elementary school setting. The role focuses on providing evaluations and support for a young student with cerebral palsy who is an English Language Learner (ELL) and primarily communicates in Russian.
Location: Wilkes Barre, PA
Duration: October 20, 2025 June 5, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, up to 5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations tailored to the students needs, including assessments related to speech, physical therapy, and occupational therapy.
- Collaborate with a trained 1:1 paraprofessional responsible for feeding, toileting, and repositioning the student.
- Support the students educational and developmental goals through telehealth, ensuring culturally and linguistically appropriate approaches.
- Monitor and document the students progress and provide clear, actionable recommendations for the educational team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a School Psychologist with experience in telehealth services.
- Bilingual fluency in Russian, with the ability to communicate effectively with the student and family.
- Experience working with students with physical disabilities, particularly cerebral palsy.
- Skilled in administering and interpreting evaluations for speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy needs.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
